WHAT IS "RACE IN A BOX" ALL ABOUT?

In 2017, the Range Runners recognized the need for local races to share their resources. We established five race sponsors and five business sponsors to help purchase a race trailer for storage. Hope Springs 5K, Red Ore Run 5K/10K, Hoyt Lakes 5K, Longyear Lake 5K, and Courage 5K combined their resources and sponsored this project. In addition to these races, WalMart, Essentia Health, Range Spine, and Minnesota Power also sponsored this project. With matching funds from a grant from the IRRRB, we supplemented our sponsor race's existing equipment to include everthing needed to host a successful race. Read more in this IRRRB article

In order to promote quality events on the Iron Range and generate funds for additional race equipment, we rent our "Race in a Box" trailer, timing, and service for $700/local event. Additional charges may apply if our trailer is rented for events outside of MN's Iron Range. If the MyLaps timing system is used, an additional $1/runner is added to cover the Bibtag timing chips. All profits from our RIAB rentals goes towards maintenance and additional race equipment for the trailer.
